The Falls of Feugh is run by Chef Patron John Chomba, who took over the reins in 2013 and has now firmly established this outstanding restaurant and function room as one of Royal Deeside’s centres of culinary excellence.

 

Our menus reflect the very best of Scotland’s rich larder, and we combine fresh seasonal, local produce and innovative techniques to achieve a unique approach that blends the traditional with the new.

We have celebrated back-to-back wins as North East Restaurant of the Year in both 2015 and 2016, as well as Afternoon Tea of the Year winner in 2016 and 2017. An AA Rosette was awarded in 2016 to add to the collection.

John Chomba Chef & Owner

John Chomba, Master Chef of Great Britain, Grampian Chef of the Year 2008, and Scottish Chef of the Year 2013 semi-finalist, brings a wealth of experience to this hidden gem on Royal Deeside.

 

His approach of using only the best local and seasonal ingredients combined with innovative methods and techniques results in dishes that showcase Scottish produce at its finest.

John trained in his native Kenya before moving to Scotland 17 years ago. He was recently head chef at the 2 Rosette Raemoir House Hotel. John has also undertaken placements at the 2 Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie in Gleneagles, and at the 1 Michelin star Sangsters in Elie, under renowned chef Bruce Sangster.
